Physiotherapy Supports Quick Rehabilitation

Our experienced physiotherapists at Pro-Fit Physio & Allied Health Centre will teach you a set of effective exercises and maneuvers that will not only help you recover from injury or surgery, but also minimise the associated pain and disability. Moreover, the therapy may even cut your need for prescription pain-killers and the related side effects.

Physiotherapy services reduce pain and improve mobility after an injury or surgery. Musculoskeletal conditions, including but not limited to neck and back pain, arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, and fibromyalgia, all tend to benefit from physiotherapy. Since these conditions may also cause joint stiffness and/or muscle tightness, regular physiotherapy sessions can help overcome these symptoms.

Physiotherapy Manages Acute and Long-Term Health Problems

Physical therapy addresses both acute and chronic health conditions such as low back pain. Even for the acute back pain, experts recommend exercises as soon as the pain is controlled. This is because the physical therapy involves certain core-training exercises that strengthen and stabilise the core muscles. Your therapist at Pro-Fit Physio will work with you to prevent the loss of activity before it happens by creating an exercise and Clinical Pilates plan to help promote a healthy and more active lifestyle.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What to expect at your first appointment

“You can expect the following during your first physiotherapy appointment:

  • Giving your medical history to your therapist
  • Being tested and diagnosed for the major issues
  • Setting realistic goals with the help of your therapist and the strategy to reach them
  • Having a treatment plan to deal with the current health issue and adopt a healthy lifestyle
  • Being taught initial exercises and the use of necessary devices or equipment"

What should I wear to my first visit? Will I have to underss?

"Avoid wearing tight-fitting outfits. Wear something comfortable that doesn’t hinder your body movements and at the same time allows the therapist to work easily on the targeted body parts. Provided that you are wearing loose-fitting clothes, you will almost never have to undress. Rarely, a therapy course like electrical stimulation may require access to body areas that are difficult to reach otherwise, in which case a loose gown will be handed over to you to drape while giving you your privacy."
